About
Benalla Christian School caters for P-6 and has two teachers plus a principal. Currently it has under 40 students but is preparing for substantial growth over the next few years.
It is an independent, non-denominational Christian Primary school operating as a not for profit organization in Victoria. Our purpose is to provide high standard education within a Christian environment, presenting care for the spiritual welfare of our students as well as their academic development.
All aspects of care and curriculum are measured from a Biblical world view and provide an education which more than adequately meets Victorian Education Learning Standards within that framework.
Children enjoy the stimulation this approach offers, and parents enjoy the security of their child’s total welfare within this environment.
Our Vision:
Learning For Life
Benalla Christian School approaches the school environment, its curriculum, and its relationships and responsibilities to the students, as opportunities to prepare students for Life;
· Life Equipped (Proverbs 4:13)
· Life Abundant (John 10:10)
· Life Eternal (John 17:3)
Our Mission:
Recognizing that Parents are the primary educators of their children, Benalla Christian School operates to support parents in that role by:
1. Partnering with Christian families in the task of teaching their children to grow towards perceptive understanding and judgment, spiritual maturity and effective membership in the body of Christ
2. Providing a learning environment that caters for the spiritual, academic, physical and social needs of the child
3. Teaching all areas of the curriculum from a Biblical Worldview perspective, and equipping each child to assess life from that same perspective
4. Enabling each child to achieve his/her best in all areas of the school curriculum
5. Encouraging children toward a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, and to follow His teachings in their relationships, respecting one another and authority
6. Assisting parents in their task of raising their children for a life of useful service to God and their fellow man
7. Recognizing each child is uniquely gifted, and seeking to discover and develop those talents and abilities
8. Providing a curriculum more than adequately meeting the ‘Victorian Essential Learning Standards’, ably preparing children for entry to Secondary School
Our aim, in everything done in the School, is that God alone is honoured and glorified.
“Thou art worthy, O Lord to receive glory and honour and power:
for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” - Revelation 4:11
